1969 - At a jumble sale, Betty Turpin buys Ken Barlow's old jacket for her husband Cyril and finds a love letter in the pocket.
1975 - Annie Walker collapses following a break-in at the Rovers Return Inn.
1982 - Geoff Siddall runs off with Eddie Yeats's money.
1995 - Reg Holdsworth gets a job as manager of the Halifax branch of Freshco (final appearance of the character).
1996 - Ken Barlow arrives at No.1 too late to stop Denise Osbourne and Brian Dunkley leaving with Ken and Denise's son Daniel. Fred Elliott asks Rita Sullivan to marry him.
1999 - Sharon and Ian Bentley leave the Street.
2004 - Dev Alahan tries to rescue Sunita Alahan from Maya Sharma at the Corner Shop flat. Maya ties them up and starts a fire, although they're rescued by Charlie Stubbs and Ciaran McCarthy before the shop blows up. Maya tries to kill them by driving her car at them but she is injured when a lorry crashes into her car.

1981 - Len Fairclough buys the plot of land where 7 Coronation Street used to stand. He wants to build anew house in the space.
1987 - Joan Lowther dies from a heart attack.
2005 - Violet Wilson dumps Jason Grimshaw when she finds out he has slept with Sarah Platt.

1972 - Len Fairclough learns that he is a candidate for the next Mayor of Weatherfield.
1978 - Mike Baldwin sacks Gail Potter and Suzie Birchall from his denim shop The Western Front.
1991 - Alec Gilroy leaves Weatherfield for a job on a cruise ship.
1995 - First appearance of Tony Horrocks.
1996 - Denise Osbourne and Brian Dunkley show up at No.1 to take Denise's son Daniel away with them. Denise walked on on Daniel's father Ken Barlow earlier in the year and showed no interest in Daniel. Ken's nanny Kelly Thomson is unable to contact Ken to warn him.
2000 - First appearances of Matt and Charlie Ramsden.
2006 - Danny Baldwin finds out that his son Jamie is having an affair with his ex-wife Frankie. Final appearance of Warren Baldwin.

1984 - Stan Ogden dies in hospital from a heart attack.
1994 - Ken Barlow pressures Emily Bishop into refusing to witness for Deirdre and Samir Rachid at their wedding.
2005 - David Platt tries to blackmail Jason Grimshaw when he finds out Jason is two-timing Violet Wilsonwith Sarah Platt. When Jason doesn't respond, David attacks him but falls to the ground when Jason holds him off.
Amber Kalirai tells Tara Mandal that Tara's boyfriend Dev Alahan has had an affair with Tara's mother Nina.

1972 - First appearance of Deirdre Hunt.
1978 - Mike Baldwin decides to close down his denim shop The Western Front.
2000 - Jack Duckworth places a £5,000 bet on a greyhound at a racetrack and wins £59,641.
2002 - Audrey Roberts and Archie Shuttleworth report murderer Richard Hillman to the police, but he is released without charge as there is no evidence against him.
2006 - Frankie and Jamie Baldwin's plan to tell Danny Baldwin about their relationship is scuppered when Danny brings his and Frankie's son Warren back to Weatherfield, as he has been transferred to an English football club.
